The TKP-2000 is an elegant, in-wall color touchscreen that is Native to the Network in that it does not require a black box to connect to Wi-Fi. With a permanent connection to your client’s network, the TKP-2000 is always ready with real-time information about their environment. Clients will also be able to access and display metadata from information feeds such news, stocks and devices like the PSX-2 media server.
The TKP-2000 facilitates quick setup of two-way devices via drag-and-drop preprogrammed modules, for quicker remote setup. Customers will truly appreciate the metadata (album art/artist, Satellite station logo) displayed on the TKP-2000’s vivid color LCD whether it’s the dentist’s office or the local gym. When your clients adjust volume on a TKP-2000, they’ll always see a pop-up appear on the screen, so if you program it to control several zones, they’ll always know which one they are adjusting.
The TKP-2000 must be connected to a Local Area Network (LAN) and the MRX-10 to enable all functions correctly. Additionally, in order to enable Internet features such as Information feeds, the LAN must be connected to the Internet. The TKP-2000 is a PoE (Power over Ethernet) device and can be powered by either a PoE Switch or a PoE Injector. This has the advantage that a single CAT5 cable supplies both data and power. For Total Control systems, URC recommends using a MFSPOE-8 PoE Mac Filtering Network Switch.
